Spring Red Card Policy:
In the event a player receives a red card, the coach may allow that player to remain on the team bench for the duration of the game assuming that the player refrains from being disruptive and removes his jersey. The coach will now be responsible for the sent off player's behavior. If the player continues to be disruptive, both the coach and the player will be sent off and the player will have an extra game added to his misconduct suspension already received in the game.
In order to assist teams with conflicts, Head Coaches that Coach two or more teams are required to list an assistant Coach on their official roster.
You will need to upload an updated roster with the Assistant Coach added and signed by your home association registrar ASAP.
U.S. Soccer Federation announces a ban on heading for players AGE 10 AND YOUNGER.
PLAYERS IN U11 PROGRAMS AND YOUNGER SHALL NOT ENGAGE IN HEADING, EITHER IN PRACTICES OR IN GAMES
Per U.S. Soccer Referee Program
How the rule should be implemented
“When a player deliberately heads the ball in a game, an indirect free kick (IFK) should be awarded to the opposing team from the spot of the offense. If the deliberate header occurs within the goal area, the indirect free kick should be taken on the goal area line parallel to the goal line at the point nearest to where the infringement occurred. If a player does not deliberately head the ball, then play should continue.”
To validate the integrity of the Classic League, we are now requiring that all player's photos be posted in GotSoccer when team registration is completed DURING JULY REGISTRATION. NEW PHOTOS ARE REQUIRED EVERY YEAR
