Classic League Policies & Procedures

New Policies / 2020/2021

Classic League is trying to provide the safest environment possible for our membership. The Safety of everyone is our main concern during these trying times. The following policy will be the New Norm until it is Not for everyone. So please let’s all work together so our players can be safe and play soccer

Coaches/Managers & Players:  
Required to stand Left to the AR  (asst. Referee) during games.

Parents/Spectators:
To maintain social distancing parents are required to be Eight (8) ft. back from the AR & touch line.

Face Mask & Social Distancing Requirements:

  • Coach, Manager, Players, Parents, Spectators are required to wear a  Face Masks when they walk on to the Richland College/MoneyGram Soccer Complex.
  •  Coach & Players may remove their Face Masks once they are on the field.
  •  Parents & Manager are required to wear Face Masks @ all times.(includes bathroom & concession stand breaks)
  • Face Masks are required when approaching Classic League Staff & Medical.
  • Social Distancing is required @ all times.
  • Not More than (1) parent per player allowed @ game

Not Complying to Policy On Game Day:

  • No Reminding Parents/Spectators of Policy: Been There Done That During Challenge Tournament – Parents that were reminded continued to ignore the policy after we left.

Coach will be asked to identify the parent/spectator to the player on the team
Coach will have two (2) choices.

  • He can remove himself from the remainder of the game.
  • Or Sub player for remainder of the game.

Parents/Spectators that continue not to comply after coach has left or player is sub will be ask to leave the complex with their player.

NEW POLICY / SPRING 2020

Spring Red Card Policy:

In the event a player receives a red card, the coach may allow that player to remain on the team bench for the duration of the game assuming that the player refrains from being disruptive and removes his jersey.  The coach will now be responsible for the sent off player's behavior.  If the player continues to be disruptive, both the coach and the player will be sent off and the player will have an extra game added to his misconduct suspension already received in the game.

New Policy 2017/2018

Assistant Coaches
In order to assist teams with conflicts, Head Coaches that Coach two or more teams are required to list an assistant Coach on their official roster. 

You will need to upload an updated roster with the Assistant Coach added and signed by your home association registrar ASAP.

2016/2017 New & Modified Rules

U.S. Soccer Federation announces a ban on heading for players AGE 10 AND YOUNGER.

PLAYERS IN U11 PROGRAMS AND YOUNGER SHALL NOT ENGAGE IN HEADING, EITHER IN PRACTICES OR IN GAMES

How the rule should be implemented

When a player deliberately heads the ball in a game, an indirect free kick (IFK) should be awarded to the opposing team from the spot of the offense. If the deliberate header occurs within the goal area, the indirect free kick should be taken on the goal area line parallel to the goal line at the point nearest to where the infringement occurred. If a player does not deliberately head the ball, then play should continue.”
 

PLAYER PHOTO POLICY IN GOTSOCCER

To validate the integrity of the Classic League, we are now requiring that all player's photos be posted in GotSoccer when team registration is completed DURING JULY REGISTRATION. NEW PHOTOS ARE REQUIRED EVERY YEAR
